Award winning & Official Grammy Ballot selected CCB Nashville recording artist Mercy Shine is sure to bring a new and fresh feel to the country-rock scene. Comprised of Jason Clark and Matt Barfield, Mercy Shine is unapologetically honest and true to themselves.
Born and raised in the tidewater area of Virginia. Jason and Matt spent years in the rock arena, playing shows with some of the biggest names in the industry such as; KISS, Godsmack, Fuel, Saliva and Deep Purple, just to name of few. Playing for sold out crowd's.
In August 2019, they released their debut feel good single "Curves” along with their self-titled EP. In July 2020 they released their follow up single "That's Where You'll Find Me". In December 2020 the duo released their follow up EP Mercy Shine 2 along with the first single from the EP in February 2021 titled "Why Can't It Be Tonight" with their label CCB Nashville & producer Kimo Forrest; guitarist for the Country Music Hall Of Fame group Alabama.
Mercy Shine isn't wasting any time pulling in some very prestigious nominations in 2019 & 2020 at the Josie Music Awards. The Josie Music Awards is a brand of The Josie Network, LLC and is the largest independent artist awards show in the world. The nominations were for Duo of the Year and Fan Choice of the Year (Winning the Duo of the Year Award in 2019). Mercy Shine was also nominated for two KICMA Awards in 2019 for Duo of the Year and Single of the Year. They also won the SB Productions Rising Star Of The Year Award in 2019. In September 2020 Mercy Shine was notified that they were placed on the Official Ballot for the 2021 63rd Grammy Awards for Record of the Year & Best Country Duo or Group Performance.
